T C Riders Named Snowmobile Club of the Year in the U.S.

The T C Riders Snowmobile Club was recognized for their commitment to promoting snowmobile safety to their community by being named American Council of Snowmobile Associations Snowmobile Club of the Year award. The award is presented annually to an outstanding snowmobile club that has demonstrated their success and promotion of the importance of organized snowmobiling in their local community.

The T C Riders, from Camden, New York is very active in snowmobile safety training. The club members of the T C Riders also participate in First Aid, CPR and chainsaw safety. This level of training really promotes their emphasis in promoting Safe Snowmobiling.

Their emphasis on safety was put to the task when the Rescue Sled , that the club donated to the local fire department, was used in the Buffalo Blizzard as well as other emergency situations last season. The club held numerous fundraisers in order to purchase the Rescue Sled for the fire department.

The T C Riders has 22 groomer operators that regularly groom 50 miles of trail each winter. The T C Riders proudly have a membership of over 900 members and meet at least 10 times each year. In addition to grooming and meetings, they also participate in Take A friend Snowmobiling program and show snowmobilers and non-snowmobilers their trails from a rider in their groomer.

“Based on the hundreds of dedicated volunteers in the TC Riders, their passion for family recreation and snowmobile safety is clearly demonstrated ” stated Jim Elmore, President of the New York State Snowmobile Association. “The T C Riders are very involved in their community and have been active statewide.”
