Duluth Lawn and Sports Named Snowmobile Dealer of the Year in the U.S.

Duluth Lawn and Sports was recognized for their long time support of organized snowmobiling by being named American Council of Snowmobile Associations Dealer of the Year award. The award is presented annually to retail dealers that have shown they go above and beyond in supporting their local and statewide snowmobile clubs and organizations.

Duluth Lawn and Sports, a Ski-Doo and Polaris dealership, was chosen based on their past and present promotions and partnerships. Pete Gassert, Duluth Lawn and Sports owner, has been in business in Duluth since 1991. Pete, along with the entire staff are the driving force behind the partnerships and activism. The dealership has been an active member of the Black Woods Blizzard Tour for nearly two decades, raising thousands of dollars for ALS research each year.

They are also a huge supporter of MnUSA, the statewide snowmobile association, where the dealership pays for the memberships of their customers at their open house each fall. With local clubs they are very involved in projects that include providing sleds and equipment for Veterans Rides, and promote snowmobiling at city, county and state meetings.

Duluth Lawn and Sports understands the importance of organized snowmobiling – without the clubs and state association there would be no trails. Because of their understanding, they actively promote protecting access and trail rights at all events.
